Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes Did you know that all the photos on Mapel’s website are shot in-house?

Ever wonder about who’s head belongs to our model’s body?

We want to take you “behind the scenes” and give you a sneak peek of Mapel’s New Product Photo Shoot!

Photo shoot1Not all of us have an eye for fashion on a hanger, and you can’t really trust a mannequin for an exact fit. Even stock photos can’t give you a 360⁰ view. Seriously, how can you really be sure about buying a dress or designer denim if you don’t know what they look like from the BACK?!

That’s why every two to three weeks Mapel Boutique transforms its fitting room area into a studio to shoot our newest arrivals.

MikeIf you’ve been into Mapel and have taken the time to try things on – you know firsthand that area is about the size of a walk-in closet. Yet, with a blank white canvas and a professional photographer lighting kit – Voila! Our long-time photographer Mike Pifke snaps away making sure each article gets pictures of the front, side, back and a zoomed in detail shot.

photoshoot4We can easily have 30-40 items of new product to shoot, but we can wrap it all up in one to two hours! Not too shabby!

After all’s said and done – all of the product is uploaded onto our website within 2-3 days! We want to make sure no one is left out of the loop, especially if you’re not able to make it into the shop right away!

Now – to answer the big question on everyone’s mind –  Who is Mapel’s headless model?

It’s none other than our Veteran Sales Associate and good friend Jennica Smith!

So – there you have it. Just another day in the life of Mapel Boutique.
